Mel Echenique

My name is Melissa Echenique, but if you've found your way here to my humble, little portfolio, well then, you can call me Mel. A few facts about myself:

1. I'm a born-and-raised Floridian from the city of Miami.

2. I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations and a minor in Theater. 

3. I am the child of not one but two Cuban immigrants.

4. I speak both Spanish and French; although, my Spanish is way better than my French, I'll admit.

5. I am a storyteller.

I've been telling stories for as long as I can remember. I wrote a book in the fifth grade that will never ever see the light of day but I did write it and it was well over 100 pages. In high school, I'd capture monumental moments from that time, put those moments to music, and share it with my friends. Since Instagram first blew up in 2012, I've been posting the story of my life on there. What I'm getting at is storytelling is who I am; it's an intrinsic part of my nature. That is why it is also my career.
